Our Story

Who I Am

Hi! I’m Joanna — the hands and heart behind Astiana Jewelry!

Astiana began long before it had its name. In 2021, while working full-time in government, I started creating and selling clay earrings under my first brand, Ameli Collective. It started as a creative escape during a time when the world had slowed down, and it quickly became a source of joy and connection.

Everything Has A Story To Tell

After a year of crafting earrings, I felt the need to create more than just that. I wanted to create jewelry that’s not only long lasting, but also meaningful, and made to be truly cherished. That curiosity led me to discover metalsmithing in early 2022. I was instantly fascinated by the process—the fire, the precision, and the transformation of raw metal into something beautiful. I kept selling my clay pieces while saving for the tools and materials I needed to begin my new craft.

A Leap of Faith

At the end of 2023, I took the leap—leaving a corporate job where I felt unfulfilled and undervalued. By January 2024, Astiana Jewelry came to fruition. A fully rebranded business dedicated to handcrafting high-quality 14K Gold-filled jewelry. Astiana became the first in Belize to offer soldered 14K Gold-filled pieces and later expanding to include Sterling Silver. Soon after going full-time, I noticed something missing in the local market: personalized, handcrafted jewelry that felt truly personal. That realization reshaped my mission.

Wear Your Story

Today, every piece made is designed to celebrate one’s individuality. To serve as a keepsake of life’s special moments, cherished loved ones, milestones worth remembering, and stories meant to be told. Astiana Jewelry reflects your story—each piece intentionally and meticulously handcrafted to let you Wear Your Story

“All jewelry is self-identifying, but Vinader takes this philosophy much more seriously, which perhaps accounts for her international success.”
